Every review and comparison on SaaSayer follows the same process. This page explains how we choose what to cover, how we assess each tool, what our ratings mean, and how we stay independent. If you ever think we have got something wrong, please tell us.

How we choose what to review

We focus on the software our readers actually use to build and run a business: automation, no-code, project management, website building and email marketing tools. We prioritise the tools people are genuinely searching for and deciding between, rather than chasing every new launch. We prioritise tools we have genuine, hands-on experience with, including through our work running a web agency.

What we assess

For every tool, we evaluate the things that actually matter when you are choosing one:

  • Ease of use: how quickly a real person can get productive, and the learning curve.
  • Features: what it does well, and where the gaps are.
  • Pricing and value: what you get for the money, including free plans and the true cost as you scale.
  • Who it is for: the type of user or team it suits, and who should look elsewhere.
  • Limitations: the honest downsides, because every tool has them.

How our ratings work

We score each tool out of 5. A rating reflects how well the tool does its job for its intended audience, balancing capability, ease of use and value. A high score does not mean a tool is right for everyone, which is why every review explains who it suits best. Where two tools solve the same problem differently, our comparisons help you choose between them.

Our independence

Some of our links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through them. This never influences our ratings, rankings or opinions. We recommend tools on merit, and we will happily rate a tool poorly even if it has an affiliate program. You can read more in our affiliate disclosure.

Keeping reviews up to date

Software changes quickly. Prices rise, features ship and tools improve or decline. We revisit our reviews and comparisons over time and update them when things change. If you spot something out of date, let us know and we will fix it.
